A minor scale with one bright note
E Dorian is E F# G A B C# D. It is minor (the ♭3, G), but the 6th is natural (C#) instead of flat — the single note that separates Dorian from natural minor.
- The ♭3 (G) keeps it minor.
- The natural 6 (C#) is the Dorian color.
