Free online MIDI piano visualizer

Connect a MIDI keyboard and see what you play as you play it: every key lights up on the piano, the notes appear on the grand staff, and the chord you are holding is named on screen. It runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install and no account to create.

How to connect your MIDI keyboard

1. Plug the keyboard into your computer with USB (or a USB-MIDI interface).
2. Open this page in Chrome, Edge or Opera: they support Web MIDI. Safari does not.
3. Allow MIDI access when the browser asks, and start playing.

What it shows

• Piano keys that light up with each note, following how hard you play.
• The notes on the staff, treble and bass clef, so you can read what your hands do.
• The chord name of what you hold down: triads, sevenths and extended chords.
• The sustain pedal, so held notes stay on screen while the pedal is down.

Good for

Learning to read music from your own playing, checking chord voicings, teaching a lesson on a shared screen, or recording piano videos with the notes visible.
